Thursdays! Hey everyone, every Thursday we will be working on projects projects like letters to troops, teacher appreciation, luggage with love, etc.. Be sure to drop by whenever you can between 3-5 to help out.
November 2, 2006 Our first November Meeting! Be sure to earn some hours and bring a dollar for pizza! Also, turn in your volunteer sheets as well as any other important documents! If you haven't paid your dues, hurry up!
November 16, 2006 Our 2nd meeting in November guys. Remeber Dues, Hours, and $1 for pizza!
November 18, 2006 Deadline for our Operation Christmas Child. Pamphlets are in Mrs. C's room for more info.
Year-long Projects
Coke Tabs - Make sure before you through your soft drink away, pluck off that little coke tab. If your short on hours, remember 100 coke tabs equals 1 Hour. (Maximum up to 3 hours)
Can Food Drive - Our local shelters and homes need all the help they can get so bring in some cans! You will get rewarded in hours, just talk to a sponsor to see exactly how much.
Miracle League - Headed by our own Kassie Goleman, Miracle league is held every saturday to help out our young baseball players with special needs. For more information, email us or contact an officer or sponsor to set up details and times.
Luggage of love - This project provides for our local shelters as well as any needy families and children. Headed by Lt. Governor Brandon Batchelor, luggage of love is set up to collect new and used luggage.
Future Projects!
Library Tutoring - AHS Key club will be tutoring at the Learning Zone at East Arlington Branch Library on Monday Afternoons from 4-5 after school everyday. The library is located at 1624 New York Avenue in East Arlington. For more info, drop by D105.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing - Bell Ringing at our local Wal-Mart for the Salvation Project. It is such a fun project because so many of our members get involved and we do crazy things from playing football in the parking lot to having a minature orchestra promote the donations.
Swift Fitness program - This is an after school project to promote physical fitness and good health among our growing youth. We currently are awaiting approval from Swift, but once we get it be sure to come join us!
Pancake Sales and Breakfast - This is our one and only fundraiser for Key Club. The official pancake breakfast is sometime in February and we start selling tickets during the end of Jan. so keep checking back!
Key Carnival - This is Key Elementary's annual Carnival and they appreciate all the help they can get. In January, we plan to help them run game booths, sell food, set up and close down with whatever is necessary.
Clean Up Arlington - This is through the City of Arlington where we volunteer one Saturday in March to pick up litter and trash that tarnish our proud city.
